Ohio Admin. Code 901:1-18-02 - Definitions
As used in this chapter:
(B) "Certificate of veterinary
inspection" means a form from the state of origin which has been issued and
completed by a licensed and accredited veterinarian attesting to the health
status and identification of an animal listed thereon.
(C) "Approved veterinarian" means
any licensed and accredited veterinarian approved by the Ohio department of
agriculture, or an employee of the Ohio department of agriculture or the United
States department of agriculture, animal plant health inspection service,
veterinary services.
(F) "Contagious or infectious
disease" means any disease, including any foreign animal disease, or vector,
capable of transmission by any means from a carrier animal to a human or to
another animal and includes dangerously contagious or infectious
diseases.
(G) "Tuberculosis accredited free
herd" is one that has passed at least two consecutive annual negative official
tests for tuberculosis in accordance with the "Uniform Methods and Rules -
Bovine Tuberculosis Eradication", and has no other evidence of bovine
tuberculosis.
