Okla. Admin. Code § 260:135-7-179 - Oklahoma assigned identification number
An Oklahoma assigned identification number, when required for an assembled or rebodied vehicle, or upon written request from an authorized state or federal court or law enforcement agency, or when otherwise deemed necessary by Service Oklahoma, shall be assigned by Service Oklahoma. Once assigned, the Oklahoma assigned number is considered the valid vehicle identification number (VIN) for that vehicle and is to be affixed to the vehicle in a manner and location determined by Service Oklahoma.
