(1) The following
costs must be capitalized and depreciated: Expenses for depreciable assets with
historical cost in excess of $1,000 per unit, or in aggregate, and a useful
life greater than one year from the date of purchase.
(2) Repair costs in excess of $1,000 on
equipment or buildings must be capitalized.
(3) The provider must maintain schedules of
capital assets and depreciation, on a straight line basis, to document amounts
on the Nursing Facility Financial Statement.
