Or. Admin. R. 581-015-2220 - When IEPs Must Be In Effect
(1)
General:
(a) At the beginning of each school
year, a school district must have in effect an IEP for each child with a
disability within the district's jurisdiction.
(b) School districts must provide special
education and related services to a child with a disability in accordance with
an IEP.
(2) Initial
IEPs:
(a) A school district must conduct a
meeting to develop an initial IEP within 30 calendar days of a determination
that the child needs special education.
(b) As soon as possible following development
of the IEP, special education and related services must be made available to
the child in accordance with the child's IEP.
(3) Accessibility of IEPs. Each school
district must:
(a) Ensure that the IEP is
accessible to each regular education teacher, special education teacher,
related service provider and other service provider who is responsible for its
implementation; and
(b) Inform each
teacher and provider described in (3)(a) of his or her specific
responsibilities for implementing the child's IEP and the specific
accommodations, modifications and supports that must be provided for or on
behalf of the child in accordance with the IEP.
