Bidders, before submitting a bid, shall make a careful examination of the contract documents and the site of the sale and any appended project work. Such examination shall be independent of any representations by the STATE concerning the quality and quantity of timber, the allowable method of removal of the timber or of conditions affecting the work at the site. Pursuant to OAR 629-029-0135, every contract shall contain a clause requiring such an examination and absolving the STATE from any liability for any misrepresentation or failure to provide information.
