Or. Admin. R. 734-075-0015 - Mobile Home Towing Vehicle Requirements
The following requirements apply to mobile home towing:
(1) The towing vehicle must be equipped with
dual wheels on the drive axle;
(2)
If the towed unit:
(a) Is 10 feet or less
width at the base or 11 feet or less overall width, the toter utilized must
have a minimum GVWR of 8,000 pounds;
(b) Exceeds 10 feet width at the base or 11
feet overall width, the toter utilized must have a minimum GVWR of 15,000
pounds; or
(c) Exceeds 14 feet
width at the base or 15 feet overall width, the toter utilized must have a
minimum GVWR of 32,000 pounds.
(3) Engine horsepower must be enough to
maintain minimum speeds of 45 MPH on Interstate highways and 35 MPH on other
highways.
