55 Pa. Code § 1153.51 - General payment policy
(a)
Payment is made for medically necessary professional medical and psychiatric
services provided by or under the supervision and direction of a psychiatrist
by participating psychiatric outpatient clinics and psychiatric partial
hospitalization outpatient facilities subject to the conditions and limitations
established in this chapter and Chapters 1101 and 1150 (relating to general
provisions; and MA Program payment policies) and the MA Program Fee
Schedule.
(b) The Department will
publish procedures for the use of tele-behavioral health to provide compensable
psychiatric outpatient clinic or psychiatric partial hospitalization services
in the Pennsylvania Bulletin.
(c) Payment will not be made for a
compensable psychiatric outpatient clinic, MMHT or psychiatric partial
hospitalization outpatient service if payment is available from another public
agency or another insurance or health program.
