S.C. Code Regs. § 79-9 - Board Authorized to Make Investigations and Deny, Suspend or Revoke Licenses
A. The
Board may, if it deems necessary, cause an investigation to be made to
ascertain if all the criteria set forth in an application for license are true
and shall not issue a license to the applicant until it is satisfied as to the
accuracy of the application. The Board may deny or refuse to license any
applicant based on misrepresentation of facts presented on the application for
license, and/or for any of the reasons set forth in the Act , and if the
application requirements are not met.
B. The Department shall investigate in
accordance with Section
40-29-50
or upon receipt of inquiries or complaints any allegation of a wrongful act or
acts involving licensees, and the Board shall have the authority to take
appropriate action as provided in the Act .
C. If a licensee has been licensed in another
state and that license has been suspended or revoked and/or if there is an
outstanding penalty, the Board at its discretion based on information received
with regard to any such suspension, revocation, or penalty may deny, suspend or
revoke that licensee's ability to do business within the State of South
Carolina.
