S.C. Code Regs. 121-8.10 - Identification of Wells
A. The
operator of any oil or gas well in South Carolina shall post and keep posted in
a conspicuous place near the well the name of the person drilling, operating,
owning, or controlling the well, the name and number of the well, and the
number of the permit of the well. Such identification shall be posted so long
as such well produces and until such well is properly plugged and the location
is restored to the conditions satisfactory to the Commission. In the event of a
change of operator, well name, or number, a new sign reflecting such change
shall be posted.
