S.D. Admin. R. 20:10:20:11 - Residential medical emergency

Notwithstanding the provisions of ยงยง 20:10:20:03 and 20:10:20:04, a utility shall postpone the disconnection of utility service to a residential customer for 30 days from the date of a physician's certificate or a notice from a public health or social services official which states that disconnection of service will aggravate an existing medical emergency of the customer, a member of the customer's family, or other permanent resident of the premises where service is provided. Such extensions are limited to a single 30-day period.
