S.D. Admin. R. 20:18:15:16 - The deal

At the beginning of a round of play, the dealer must, starting on the left and continuing clockwise around the table, deal the cards in the following order:

(1) One card face downward or upward to each box on the layout in which a wager is contained;

(2) One card face upward to the dealer;

(3) A second card, face downward or upward to each box in which a wager is contained; and

(4) One card face downward to the dealer.
