S.D. Admin. R. 41:04:02:18 - Day County public water safety zones
Day County public water safety zones are as follows:
(1) Pickerel Lake:
(a) The waters fronting on that portion of
West Pickerel Recreation Area beginning at a point along the shoreline 40 feet
east of the concrete boat landing and extending 200 feet easterly along the
shoreline are a "public swimming zone";
(b) The waters fronting on that portion of
West Pickerel Recreation Area beginning at a point along the shoreline at the
center of the boat ramp and extending 40 feet in each direction along the
shoreline are a "no wake zone"; and
(c) The waters fronting on that portion of
East Pickerel Recreation Area beginning at a point along the shoreline directly
in front of the center of the bathhouse and extending 250 feet easterly and 200
feet westerly along the shoreline are a "public swimming zone";
(2) The waters fronting on that
portion of Blue Dog Lakeside Use Area beginning at the east property boundary
and extending 300 feet westerly along the shoreline are a "no wake
zone";
(3) The waters within the
boundary of Waubay National Wildlife Refuge, including the waters within the
Waubay State Game Bird Refuge, except for designated trails, are a "no motor
vehicle zone" and a "no motors zone";
(7) The waters fronting on Enemy Swim
Lakeside Use Area beginning at the north property line and extending 350 feet
southeasterly along the shoreline area are a "no wake zone"; and
(8) The waters fronting on that portion of
Indian Bay of Enemy Swim Lake within the property boundaries of NESODAK Bible
Camp are a "public swimming zone."
