S.D. Admin. R. 44:05:04:19 - Nonmedical equipment

Current through Register Vol. 48, page 106, April 11, 2022

The following nonmedical equipment maintained in good working condition must be available on all ground ambulances:

(1) One five-pound dry chemical multi-use hand held fire extinguisher approved by Underwriters Laboratories and certified by an independent fire extinguisher company within the past calendar year, mounted for easy access:
(2) Emergency response handbook;
(3) Reflective non-igniting warning devices to mark road hazards;
(4) "No Smoking" signs permanently affixed in the front and rear compartments; and
(5) Appropriate restraints for patient, crew, and family.
