S.D. Admin. R. 67:42:17:09 - Provider qualifications
All providers shall be at least eighteen years of age and demonstrate the ability to provide care that attends to the child's physical growth and development and to the physical, emotional, cognitive, and social needs of the child.
When it is reported or observed that a provider or household member has a physical, mental, or emotional condition that could negatively impact a child in care, a licensed physician's statement may be requested.
