S.D. Admin. R. 44:05:04:12.01 - Cardiac equipment

One The following cardiac equipment approved by the Food and Drug Administration and maintained in good working condition must be available on all ground ambulances:
(1) An
automated external defibrillator (AED) with pediatric capabilities including
child-sized pads and cables or a dose attenuator with adult pads: or
(2) A manual monitor defibrillator used by
appropriately trained personnel.
