S.D. Admin. R. 44:05:04:15.01 - Infection control equipment

Current through Register Vol. 48, page 106, April 11, 2022

The following infection control equipment must be available on all ground ambulances and latex-free equipment should be used when available:

(1) Eye protection to include full peripheral glasses or goggles and face shield:
(2) High-Efficiency Particulate Air mask for respiratory protection;
(3) Non-sterile examination gloves in multiple sizes;
(4) Fluid-resistant jumpsuits or gowns:
(5) Commercial antimicrobial hand wash;
(6) Disinfectant for cleaning surfaces and equipment;
(7) Sharps container;
(8) Disposable trash bags; and
(9) Bio-hazard bags.
