(1) The guide for making the inspections and tests shall be the Guide for Inspection of Elevators, Escalators, and Moving Walks, ASME A17.2 - 2017, Seventh Edition, approved by the American National Standards Institute on October 26, 2017 effective as of July 18, 2021, prepared and published by The American Society of Mechanical Engineers.
