Tenn. Comp. R. & Regs. 1660-01-30-.03 - RESIDENT ROE FISH PERMIT/SUPPLEMENT APPLICATION AND DRAWING
(1) A Resident Mississippi River Commercial
Roe Fish Permit, Supplemental - Resident West/Middle Tennessee Commercial Roe
Fish Permit - Supplemental and Resident East Tennessee Commercial Roe Fish
Permit - Supplemental will only be available beginning in the year 2024 if the
number of permits sold from July 1 through July 31 of each year is less than
the maximum number for a Resident Mississippi River Commercial Roe Fish Permit
-Supplemental, Resident West/Middle Tennessee Commercial Roe Fish Permit
-Supplemental and Resident East Tennessee Commercial Roe Fish Permit -
Supplemental. The number of permits available in this drawing process will
equal the difference between each Regional Resident Roe Fish Permits maximum
number and the number sold by July 31 of each year. Between August 1 and August
15 of each year, priority Regional Resident Roe Fish Permit - Supplemental
permittee(s) shall have the ability through a drawing to obtain any remaining
permits not purchased by July 31 of each year. When/if a Resident Regional Roe
Fish Permit - Supplement fall below the maximum number then whichever of the
available Regional Resident Mississippi River Commercial Roe Fish Permit -
Supplemental, Resident West/Middle Tennessee Commercial Roe Fish Permit -
Supplemental and Resident East Tennessee Commercial Roe Fish Permit -
Supplemental will be available for any resident commercial license holder via a
drawing to be held on a single date to be determined by TWRA between October 1
through October 15 of each year.
(2) Applicants must be residents of the State
of Tennessee, possess a valid Commercial Fishing License (Types 100 or 101) at
the time of the drawing.
(3) The
Resident Roe Fish Permit - Supplement drawing will be announced by TWRA. On
drawing day, participating applicants must appear in person at TWRA's Nashville
office and complete an application supplied by TWRA between 9 a.m. and 11 a.m.
(central time). One application is permitted per person. If more than one
application is submitted by a person, then all applications from that
individual will be excluded from the drawing.
(4) Applicants who are randomly selected by
TWRA must purchase the one (1), two (2), or all three of the Regional Resident
Permit - Supplement(s) within one hour. Selected applicants will be removed
from the applicant pool for the duration of the drawing. Those failing to meet
the purchasing requirements will forfeit the right to purchase the
permit/supplement. A subsequent random drawing for the unpurchased roe fish
permit/supplement will then occur from the remaining application
pool.
(5) Those individuals that
possess any of the Regional Resident Roe Fish Permit - Supplemental(s) shall
have priority to renew that permit from July 1 through July 31 of each year
until he/she fails to renew the permit.
