Tenn. Comp. R. & Regs. 1660-02-07-.05 - PERCY PRIEST RESERVOIR
(1) All motorboats
being operated within the sites described below shall be operated at a
"Slow-No-Wake" speed and shall not tow a person on water skis, surfboard or
similar devices.
(a) Site No. 1 ELM HILL
PUBLIC USE AREA located on the west bank of the reservoir approximately river
mile 9.4.
(b) Site No. 2, HERMITAGE
PUBLIC USE AREA located east of Percy Priest Dam at approximately river mile
6.8, the area known as Hermitage Cove.
(c) Site No. 3, HAMILTON CREEK PUBLIC USE
AREA located on the west bank of the reservoir in Hamilton Creek Cove at
approximately river mile10.5.
(d)
Site No. 6, SUGGS AND VIVRETT CREEKS, PUBLIC USE AREA located on the east bank
at the head of the Suggs Creek embayment at approximately river mile
12.5.
(e) Site No. 9, FOUR CORNERS
PUBLIC USE AREA located on the west bank of the reservoir in the Hurricane
Creek embayment at approximately river mile 18.5
(f) Site No. 16, FATE SANDERS PUBLIC USE AREA
located on the east bank of the reservoir at approximately river mile
29.3.
(g) Site No. 13, POOLE KNOBS
PUBLIC USE AREA located on the west bank of the reservoir in the vicinity of
Sinking Creek at approximately river mile 24.
(h) Site No. 20, FALL CREEK PUBLIC USE AREA
located on the east bank of the reservoir within the Fall Creek embayment at
approximately river mile 33.1.

Site No. 10, Long Hunter State Park located on the east bank of the reservoir
at approximately river mile 20.8.
(j) Site No. 11, ELM HILL PUBLIC USE AREA
located on the west bank of the reservoir at approximately river mile
9.9.
(k) Site No. 12, SMITH SPRINGS
RECREATION AREA located on the west bank of the reservoir at approximately
river mile 14.
(l) Site No. 13,
COOK RECREATION AREA located on the east bank of the reservoir at approximately
river mile 11.4.
(m) Site No. 14,
SEVEN POINTS RECREATION AREA located on the east bank of the reservoir at
approximately river mile 12.
(n)
Site No. 6, Anderson Road Day Use Area is located on the west bank of the
reservoir at approximately river mile 13.
(o) Site No. 26, Hamilton Creek Launch Ramp
is located on the west bank of the reservoir at approximately river mile
10.5.
(p) Site No. 11, Fate Sanders
Day Use Area is located on the east bank of the reservoir at approximately
river mile 30.5.
(q) Site No. 15,
Jefferson Springs Day Use area is located on the west bank of the reservoir at
approximately river mile 36.
(r)
Site No. 10, Poole Knobbs Day Use Area is located on the west bank of the
reservoir river mile 28.
(s) Site
No. 13, Stewart Creek Day Use Area is located on the west bank of the reservoir
at approximately river mile 29.5
(t) Site No. 4, Seven Points Campground
Launch Ramp is located on the east bank of the reservoir at approximately river
mile 12.
(u) Site No. 3, Cook Day
Use Area Launch Ramp is located on the east bank of the reservoir at
approximately river mile 8.5
(v) A
portion of the area leased by the YMCA lying within a cove locate on the left
descending bank, east of the Smith Springs Recreation Area, which extends
outward in a 300 foot radius, more or less, from the YMCA dock as delineated by
a line of buoys
(w) A cove on the
left descending bank adjoining the YMCA property at Stones River Mile
approximately 5.3.
(2)
All areas listed above are further identified by informational buoys in the
water on entering or leaving the areas and by informational signs at lunching
ramps located within or near the areas.
(3) Vessels being operated on J. Percy Priest
lake within the Hermitage Recreation area, as delineated by a line of
informational buoys, in Davidson County, shall be operated as follows:
(a) Motorboats shall operate at a "Slow--No
Wake" speed.
(b) Motorboats shall
not tow a person on water skis, surfboard or similar devices.
(4) Vessels are prohibited in the
sites described below:
(a) Cook Recreation
Area swimming beaches
(b) Anderson
Road Recreation Area swimming beach
(c) Seven Points Recreation Area swimming
beaches
(d) Poole Knobs Recreation
Area swimming beach
The areas listed above are further identified by informational buoys.
(5) Vessels being operated on Percy Priest
Reservoir within the Stewart Creek Fishing Cove at Stones River mile 14.0 as
delineated by a line of informational buoys shall be operated as follows:
(a) Vessels operate with electric trolling
motors and paddles only.
(b) Area
designated as fish-only zone.
(6) Vessels being operated on Percy Priest
Reservoir within the Vivrette Creek Fishing Cove located on the east bank of
the reservoir at approximately river mile 12.5 in Suggs Creek as delineated by
a line of informational buoys shall be operated as follows:
(a) Vessels operated with electric trolling
motors and paddles only.
(b) Area
designated as fish-only zone.
(7) Vessels being operated on Percy Priest
Reservoir within the cove known as Party Cove on the left descending bank of
the reservoir and west of the Hobson Pike Bridge and within the lease area of
the YMCA Camp as delineated by a line of buoys shall be restricted to vessels
operating with electric trolling motors and paddles only from May 1 through
September 30. From October 1 through April 30, this will be a no-wake
zone.
