Tenn. Comp. R. & Regs. 1660-02-07-.23 - WATTS BAR LAKE
(1) Motorboats in
the cove around Spring City Park in the Wolf Creek Embayment of Watts Bar Lake
extending from the bridge on new Lake Road to a point marked by a line of
informational buoys approximately 50 yards northeast of the TWRA fishing pier
shall operate at a "Slow-No Wake" speed.
(2) Vessels operating in the Bowman Branch
slough of Watts Bar Lake around Roane County Park shall operate at a "Slow-No
Wake" speed from the mouth of said slough to a point approximately 300 yards to
the rear of the slough as marked by a line of informational buoys.
(3) Vessels operating in the cove around
Shelton's Campground located near the mouth of White's Creek at Tennessee River
Mile 545 shall operate at a "Slow-No Wake" speed and shall not tow persons on
water skis surfboards, or similar devices as delineated by a line of
informational buoys and signs.
(4)
All vessels being operated within the following TVA Recreation Area Ramps will
be operated at a "Slow-No Wake" speed as delineated by a line of buoys:
(a) Watts Bar Dam Reservation at
approximately T.R.M. 530.2.
(b)
Hornsby Hollow at approximately T.R.M. 540.
(c) Fooshee Pass at approximately T.R.M.
538.3.
(d) Riley Creek at
approximately T.R.M. 570.2.
(5) All vessels are prohibited from operating
within the following TVA Recreation Area Beaches as delineated by a line of
buoys from May 1 through Labor Day.
(a) Watts
Bar Dam Reservation at approximately T.R.M. 530.2.
(b) Rhea Springs at approximately T.R.M.
532.4 and Pine River Mile 3.5.
(c)
Fooshee Creek at approximately T.R.M. 538.3
(d) Riley Creek at approximately T.R.M.
570.2.
(e) Hornsby Hollow at
approximately T.R.M. 540.
(6) All vessels being operated on Watts Bar
Lake in the cove of the Boy Scouts, Camp Buck Toms, located on the west bank at
TRM 549.8L as delineated by a line of buoys and or informational signs, shall
operate at a "Slow, No-wake" speed from June 1 through September 1.
(7) All vessels being operated within the
Camp Creek Cove at Lakeside Resort located off of Whites Creek on Watts Bar
Lake as delineated by a line of buoys and or informational signs, shall be
operated at a "Slow, No-wake" speed. Towing of surfboards, tubes, skis, and
similar devices is prohibited within the zoned area.
