(1) Permittee will defend and hold the Department of Transportation, its officers and employees harmless from any claims or actions by any person against the Department of Transportation, its officers and employees as a result of Permittee's hay harvesting operation.

(2) At all times, the safety of the interstate motorists and the Perrnittee shall be of utmost importance. The rules and regulations contained in this Chapter are not intended to relieve Permittee from compliance with other safety regulations required by local, state or federal law.
