Wash. Admin. Code § 220-420-020 - Falconry and captive propagation of raptors permitted
(1) The director may issue permits for the
taking and possession of raptors for falconry, captive propagation, and for the
possession, transfer, use, and disposition of raptors, except for those species
restricted by the state or that appear on the federal endangered species list.
However, progeny of a federally threatened or endangered raptor held legally
before November 10, 1978, may be retained for falconry use under these
regulations.
(2) It is unlawful to
take or possess a raptor, or raptor eggs, without a permit from the director
and/or the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service. It is unlawful to violate the
conditions of a permit issued under this rule.
