Wash. Admin. Code § 296-301-140 - Sanforizing and palmer machine
A safety trip rod, cable, or wire center cord must be provided across the front and back of all palmer cylinders extending the length of the face of the cylinder. It must operate readily whether pushed or pulled. This safety trip must be not more than 72 inches above the level on which the operator stands and must be readily accessible.
