Wash. Admin. Code § 308-12-250 - Do I need ongoing professional development to maintain my license?
(1) To maintain
active practice, you must accumulate twenty-four professional development hours
(PDH) for the upcoming two-year renewal period.
(2) The PDH you accumulate are subject to
audit by the board.
(3) Up to
twelve PDH over the required hours can be carried forward from the second year
of your previous renewal period.
(4) Professional development equivalents:
(a) One professional development hour (PDH)
is equal to no less than fifty minutes of instruction.
(b) For professional development through an
institution of higher education:
(i) One
semester hour equals forty-five PDH.
(ii) One quarter hour equals thirty
PDH.
