W. Va. Code R. § 135-30-15 - Performance Audits

15.1. The Joint
Committee on Government and Finance is required by West Virginia Code to
conduct performance audits and the Commission or Governing Board shall be
responsible for paying the cost of the audit from funds appropriated to the
Commission or Governing Board.
15.2. The Commission also has an obligation
under West Virginia Code to conduct performance audits of the policies,
procedures and results of the procurement of goods and services by the state
institutions of higher education and report to the Legislative Oversight
Commission on Education Accountability (LOCEA) on the results of the
performance audits, together with any recommendations for additional actions
that might be taken to improve the efficiency, effectiveness and economy of the
administrative operations of the institutions and the Commission.
