053-7 Wyo. Code R. § 7-3 - Flare Pits and Flare Lines
(a) When lighting a
flare pit, the lighting shall be done from the upwind side. When there is no
wind or the wind direction is uncertain, no attempt shall be made to light the
pit unless the operator can position himself in an explosive-free area. The use
of hand thrown rags or similar flaming objects is prohibited.
(b) There shall be a minimum of 120 feet from
the well bore to the end of the flare line.
