Oscar Lopez is a J.D. candidate for the Class of 2015 at Cornell Law School. He spent the summer of 2014 working as a summer associate at Shearman & Sterling, LLP, and he spent the summer of 2013 working as an intern for the Honorable Ronald L. Ellis of the Southern District of New York. Oscar graduated from the University of Texas at Austin with degrees in Economics and Spanish Literature. He also graduated from Texas Tech University with an International Masters of Business Administration. Before coming to law school, Oscar worked as an auditor for a CPA firm and served as Director of Financial Affairs for a nonprofit organization that provides housing and other services to single mothers who suffered from domestic abuse. Oscar is also a managing editor and online editor for the Cornell International Law Journal.
