A corrections program is a program that provides for the retribution, rehabilitation, and supervision of criminal offenders through the systems of incarceration, probation, and parole. It also includes training and education for offenders to help them overcome their mistakes and reintegrate into society. Specific modalities such as high school equivalency training, mental health treatment, and substance abuse education. Corrections programs are available as an option or as a mandatory part of a person's sentence, such as for juvenile offenders.
