criminal calendar

Primary tabs

Criminal calendar is a list of all the criminal cases to be heard in a courtroom on a particular day. "To calendar" means to give a day, time, and courtroom to a case. The parties charged and their attorneys are given a written notice of the time and place to appear. The criminal calendar may include arraignments, bail settings, cases continued (put off) awaiting a plea, changes of pleas, setting hearing or trial dates, motions brought by attorneys, sentencing hearings, hearings to review reports from probation officers, appointing public defenders or other attorneys, and other business concerning criminal cases.
