Compulsory license is a statutorily created license that allows the use of copyrighted materials without the explicit permission of the copyright owner. In exchange, a royalty is paid to the copyright holder. In cases of copyright concerning music, if a copyright owner brings a claim against the use of their music, the other person can claim protection under Section 115 of the Copyright Act
