46 CFR § 69.63 - Net tonnage ITC.

Net tonnage ITC (NT ITC) is determined by the formula:

$\begin{array}{c}\mathrm{NT}\mathrm{ITC}=K_2{V}_c{\left(\frac{4d}{3D}\right)}^2+K_3\left(N_1+\frac{N_2}{10}\right)\\ \text{in which:}\\ \mathrm{Vc}=\text{total volume of cargo spaces in cubic meters.}\\ K_2=0.2+0.02{\log }_{10}{V}_c\\ K_3=1.25\left(\frac{\mathrm{GT}\mathrm{ITC}+10.000}{10.000}\right)\\ D=\begin{array}{c}\text{molded depth amid ships in meters, as "molded depth" is}\\ \text{defined in § 69.53}\end{array}\\ d=\begin{array}{c}\text{molded draft amid ships in meters, as "molded draft" is}\\ \text{defined in § 69.53}\end{array}\\ N_1=\begin{array}{c}\text{number of passengers in cabins with not more than eight}\\ \text{berths, as "passenger" is defined in § 69.53}\end{array}\\ N_2=\begin{array}{c}\text{number of other passengers, as "passenger" is defined in}\\ \text{§ 69.53}\end{array}\\ \text{GT ITC}=\text{gross tonnage ITC as determined under § 69.57}\\ \begin{array}{c}{N}_1\text{and}{N}_2\text{must equal the total number of passengers the vessel}\\ \text{is permitted to carry as indicated on the ship's Passenger}\\ \text{Certificate. If}{N}_1\text{plus}{N}_2\text{is less than 13, both}{N}_1\text{and}{N}_2\text{are zero.}\end{array}\\ {\left(\frac{4d}{3D}\right)}^2\text{must not be greater than unity}\\ K_2{V}_c{\left(\frac{4d}{3D}\right)}^2\text{must not be less than 0.25 GT ITC.}\\ \text{NT ITC must not be less than 0.30 GT ITC.}\end{array}$
