§ 69.63 Net tonnage ITC.

Net tonnage ITC (NT ITC) is determined by the formula:

NT ITC = K 2 V c ( 4 d 3 D ) 2 + K 3 ( N 1 + N 2 10 ) in which: Vc = total volume of cargo spaces in cubic meters. K 2 = 0.2 + 0.02 log 10 V c K 3 = 1.25 ( GT ITC + 10.000 10.000 ) D = molded depth amid ships in meters, as "molded depth" is defined in § 69.53 d = molded draft amid ships in meters, as "molded draft" is defined in § 69.53 N 1 = number of passengers in cabins with not more than eight berths, as "passenger" is defined in § 69.53 N 2 = number of other passengers, as "passenger" is defined in § 69.53 GT ITC = gross tonnage ITC as determined under § 69.57 N 1 and N 2 must equal the total number of passengers the vessel is permitted to carry as indicated on the ship's Passenger Certificate. If N 1 plus N 2 is less than 13, both N 1 and N 2 are zero. ( 4 d 3 D ) 2 must not be greater than unity K 2 V c ( 4 d 3 D ) 2 must not be less than 0.25 GT ITC. NT ITC must not be less than 0.30 GT ITC.
