Ala. Admin. Code r. 482-2-101-.02 - Adoption Of International Fire Code®(2021 Ed.); Exceptions

(1) Except as specifically provided in paragraph (2), the 2021 edition of the International Fire Code® and Appendices B, C, D, E, and M, as promulgated by the International Code Council®, are adopted by reference as a regulation of the State Fire Marshal. Said code shall be used for projects on which the date of the architectural services contract is on or after the effective date of this rule as revised.

(2) The following portions of the 2021 edition of the International Fire Code® are not adopted:

(a) Part 2 of Chapter 1 ("Administration and Enforcement").

(b) Appendix A.

(c) Section D107 of Appendix D is not adopted but is recommended.

(d) Appendix F.

(e) Appendix G.

(f) Appendix H.

(g) Appendix I.

(h) Appendix J.

(i) Appendix K.

(j) Appendix L.

(k) § 1103.5.4 and Appendix M are not adopted but are recommended.
