Ala. Admin. Code r. 950-1-2-.02 - Purpose

Briefly, the major purposes of the Interstate Compact on Juveniles may be stated as follows:

(a) To provide for the return to the home state of runaways who have not as yet been adjudged delinquent;

(b) To provide for the return of absconders and escapees to the state from which they absconded or escaped;

(c) To permit supervision of adjudicated juveniles received from another state and eligible for probation or parole. And to permit out of state supervision of adjudicated delinquent juveniles who should be sent to some other state and are eligible for probation or parole.
