2 AAC 37.150 - Base pay for supplemental disability insurance
(a) The amount of
the base pay for calculating supplemental disability insurance must be provided
by the participating employer or, in the case of a state employee, it is the
amount reflected on the personnel action on the first day of January following
the close of the open enrollment period. If an employee is hired after January
1, the base pay is the entrance salary of the new employee.
(b) The amount of the base pay for an hourly
employee is the amount provided by the participating employer or, in the case
of a state employee, it is an amount determined by the administrator, based on
information reflected on the employee's personnel action on the first day of
January following the close of the open enrollment period. It excludes bonuses,
overtime, and other such compensation. If an employee is hired after January 1,
the base pay will be determined by the administrator, based on information
reflected on the new employee's personnel action. The base pay of a participant
is subject to verification and adjustment by the administrator.
