22 AAC 20.005 - Eligibility generally
(a) A sentenced prisoner who is serving a
minimum term of at least 181 days, and who meets the requirements of
22 AAC 20.010 -
22 AAC 20.080, is eligible for
discretionary parole.
(b) If a
prisoner has more than one sentence, the prisoner is eligible for discretionary
parole when eligibility has been reached on all sentences.
(c) In calculating when a sentence has been
served on a non-parole-eligible sentence, that sentence is considered served
the date the sentence is due to expire less good time credited under
AS
33.20.010.
(d) When calculating parole eligibility on
multiple sentences where one or more sentences are parole-eligible and one or
more sentences are non-parole-eligible, the prisoner must first serve the
non-eligible sentences. Then the prisoner must serve the necessary time to
reach eligibility on the parole-eligible sentences.
