3 AAC 48.159 - Standards of conduct - Hearing decorum
(a) Hearings before
the commission must be conducted with fitting dignity and decorum. Conduct
amounting to contempt at a public hearing is grounds for exclusion from the
hearing and for summary suspension for the contemptuous person, without a
hearing, for the duration of the hearing.
(b) Except as ordered otherwise by the
commission, there shall be free access for the news media to all public
hearings as long as the media exercise discretion and good judgment in their
conduct.
(c) Smoking is not
permitted at a formal hearing or prehearing conference while it is in session
but will, in the commission's discretion, be permitted during recesses outside
the hearing room.
