5 AAC 32.050 - Lawful gear for Dungeness crab
(a) Unless
otherwise specified in this chapter, a person may fish for Dungeness crab only
with ring nets, diving gear, and Dungeness crab pots.
(b) A Dungeness crab pot must have
(1) permanent and rigid tunnel eye openings
that individually do not exceed 30 inches (76 mm) in perimeter; and
(2) two circular escape rings of four and
three-eighths inches (11 cm) minimum inside diameter; the rings must be on
opposite sides of the pot and must be on the upper half of the vertical plane
of the pot.
