5 AAC 40.185 - Basic management plan
(a) The hatchery permit application process
includes the development, finalization, and approval of a basic management
plan. A basic management plan describes how the proposed hatchery and facility
will be developed for the first five years and is drafted by the applicant,
department area staff, and the PNP coordinator. The basic management plan
exists only as a draft basic management plan until approved by the
commissioner.
(b) A basic
management plan must include the following for a proposed hatchery:
(1) hatchery development schedule;
(2) location of the facility;
(3) capacity of the facility;
(4) potential donor stock source;
(5) incubation plans;
(6) culture plans;
(7) release locations; and
(8) adult harvest plans.
(c) An approved basic management plan is an
addendum to the hatchery permit and sets out the terms of the hatchery
permit.
