7 AAC 85.405 - Electronic access

The department will protect the security of an electronic information system that is provided by the department to a provider by

(1) limiting access to the system and to information related to the system through dual-level authentication maintained by the provider;

(2) limiting technical, administrative, and maintenance access by authentication;

(3) providing network access controls through the use of a firewall or similar protection;

(4) monitoring system use through database access monitoring tools;

(5) protecting the confidentiality and integrity of information during electronic transmission by the use of encryption controls; and

(6) updating security provisions as needed.
