Ariz. Admin. Code § R12-5-2210 - Environmental Protection and Conduct of Operations
A. All lessees and operators shall comply
with all applicable Arizona environmental statutes as now in effect or as
hereafter enacted or amended, and all applicable rules and regulations. In
addition, lessee must comply with all federal environmental statutes and
regulations.
B. Lessee or operator
shall be subject to liability for any excessive or unnecessary damage to the
surface of the ground and improvements thereon, and is charged to conduct
operations so as not to pollute surface or subsurface waters on the lands
covered by the lease or on neighboring lands.
C. In addition, operations shall be conducted
so as to prevent pollution to the air, noise pollution, compliance with the
Arizona Antiquities Act and acts providing for the protection of native flora
and fauna.
