Ariz. Admin. Code § R13-3-1102 - Axle, Wheel, and Tire Requirements
A. A tow truck agent shall ensure that a tow
truck has:
1. Axles, wheels, and tires with a
manufacturer's capacity rating equal to or greater than the tow truck's
G.V.W.R.; and
2. At all points on
major tread grooves, a tread-groove pattern depth of at least 4/32 of an inch
on all tires on the steering axle, and 2/32 of an inch on all other
tires.
B. A tow truck
agent shall ensure that a tow truck does not have:
1. Fabric or cord exposed through the tire
tread or sidewall;
2. A tire
contacting another tire, suspension, or any other part of the vehicle;
or
3. A tire visibly under-inflated
or flat.
