Energy conservation plan
1. The Arizona Corporation Commission
recognizes the need for conservation of energy resources in order to maintain
an adequate and continuous supply of safe, dependable, and affordable energy.
Therefore, in order to promote the state's economic development and the health
and welfare of its citizenry, each class A and B electric utility shall file an
energy conservation plan which encompasses at a minimum the following
considerations:
a. Development of consumer
education and assistance programs to aid the populace in reducing energy
consumption and cost.
b.
Participation in various energy conservation programs sponsored by other
municipal, state or federal government entities having such
jurisdiction.
2. Each
utility shall file an energy conservation plan with the Commission, through the
Compliance Section, Utilities Division, within one year of the effective date
of these rules and annual updates thereafter when changes require
such.
