Ariz. Admin. Code § R18-2-1009 - Tampering Repair Requirements
A.
When a vehicle fails the visual inspection for properly installed catalytic
converters, the vehicle owner shall replace the converters with new or
reconditioned OEM converters, or equivalent new aftermarket converters.
B.
If a vehicle fails the functional gas cap pressure test
described in R18-2-1006(E)(7)(a) or (F)(7)(a), the gas cap shall be replaced
with one that meets those specifications. If a vehicle designed with a vented
system fails a visual inspection for the presence of a gas cap, a properly
fitting gas cap shall be installed on the vehicle.
D. When a
diesel-powered vehicle fails the visual inspection for the presence or
malfunction of the closed crankcase ventilation system, the vehicle owner shall
repair or replace the system with OEM or equivalent aftermarket
parts.
E. When a vehicle fails the
visual inspection for the presence or malfunction of the evaporative control
system, the vehicle owner shall repair or replace the system with OEM or
equivalent aftermarket parts.
