Ariz. Admin. Code § R18-8-263 - Standards Applicable to Transporters of Hazardous Waste
A. All of 40 CFR 263, revised as of July 1,
2020 (and no future editions), is incorporated by reference, modified by the
following subsections, and on file with the DEQ. Copies of 40 CFR 263 are
available at https://www.eCFR.gov.
B.
§ 263. 11, titled "EPA identification
numbers," is amended by the following:
(a) A
transporter must not transport hazardous wastes without having received an EPA
identification number from the [DEQ].
(b) A transporter who has not received an EPA
identification number may obtain one by applying to the [DEQ] using EPA form
8700-12. [The completed form shall be submitted to DEQ through the myDEQ online
portal.] Upon receiving the request, the [DEQ] will assign an EPA
identification number to the transporter.
C.
§ 263. 30, titled "Immediate action,"
paragraph (c)(2) is amended by the following:
(2) Report in writing as required by 49 CFR
171 . 16 to the Director, Office of Hazardous Materials Regulations, Materials
Transportation Bureau, Department of Transportation, Washington, DC 20590 [and
send a copy to the DEQ, Hazardous Waste Unit, 1110 W. Washington St., Phoenix,
AZ 85007.]
