Ariz. Admin. Code § R19-4-117 - Geofencing
A. The responsible
party shall utilize a geofence system to dynamically monitor the physical
location of patrons attempting to place wagers on event wagering
platforms.
B. The geofence system
shall perform a geolocation check prior to the placement of an event wager in
an authorized session.
C. The
geofence system shall perform recurring geolocation checks throughout a
patron's authorized session.
D. If
a geolocation check determines that a patron is not located in the State, the
patron shall be blocked from placing event wagers on the event wagering
platform.
E. The responsible party
or the geofence provider shall implement a means to notify a patron of a
geolocation failure.
F. The
geofence provider shall provide to the Department access to real-time geofence
data.
G. Attempts to place wagers
from unauthorized locations shall be entered into a log by the geofence
provider and/or the responsible party. The log shall be available to the
Department upon request.
