Ariz. Admin. Code § R2-20-225 - Informal Settlement Conference
A. If the respondent requests an informal
settlement conference, the informal settlement conference shall be held within
15 days after the Commission receives the request. A request for an informal
settlement conference shall be in writing and must be filed with the Commission
no later than 20 days before the hearing date. A person with the authority to
act on behalf of the Commission must represent the Commission at the
conference. The AAG shall attend the settlement conference, but shall not be
the individual authorized to act on behalf of the Commission.
B. The Commission representative shall notify
the appellant in writing that the statements, either written or oral, made by
the appellant at the conference, including a written document, created or
expressed solely for the purpose of settlement negotiations, are inadmissible
in any subsequent administrative hearing. The parties participating in the
settlement conference waive their right to object to the participation of the
agency representative in the final administrative decision.
