Ariz. Admin. Code § R2-7-604 - Contract Change Orders and Amendments
A. The agency chief procurement officer may
extend or authorize options in a contract provided the price of the extension
or option was evaluated under the contractor's original offer.
B. Any contract change order or amendment or
aggregate change orders or amendments of a contract not covered under
sub-section (A) that exceeds 25% of the original contract amount may be
executed only if the state procurement administrator or, in the case of
construction on state property, the Assistant Director of General Services,
determines in writing that the change order or amendment is advantageous to the
state and the price is determined fair and reasonable pursuant to
R2-7-702.
C. The agency chief
procurement officer may, in situations in which time or economic consideration
preclude resolicitation, negotiate a reduction to the contract, including
scope, price, and contract requirements under A.R.S. §
41-2537.
