Ariz. Admin. Code § R21-5-413 - Adoptable Child: Assessment and Service Plan
A. Prior to selecting an adoptive placement
for an adoptable child, the adoption entity shall:
1. Assess the child's medical, psychological,
social, and developmental needs;
2.
Design an adoptive family profile consistent with the child's needs and best
interests;
3. Develop a written
service plan; and
4. Assess whether
the child is a potential candidate for an adoption subsidy.
B. The service plan shall, at a minimum,
include:
1. Placing the child on the Adoption
Registry if there is no adoptive parent readily available to adopt the
child;
2. Giving the child a
developmentally appropriate explanation of the adoption
process.
C. The adoption
entity shall provide the child with services in accordance with the child's
service plan.
