Ariz. Admin. Code § R21-6-401 - Minimum Qualifications to Apply for a License
A. Any individual or married couple meeting
the following minimum qualifications shall be eligible to apply for licensure
as a foster parent regardless of gender, race, religion, political affiliation,
national origin, disability, or sexual orientation.
B. All applicants shall submit a complete
application and accompanying documentation for a foster home license.
C. To apply for a family foster home license,
the applicant shall:
1. Be at least 21 years
of age, except as provided in R21-6-419.
2. Reside in Arizona and be lawfully present
in the United States.
3. Not have a
record of withdrawing from the licensing application process or closing a
license before the completion of an investigation or licensing inquiry, except
as permitted under R21-6-414(I) ; and
4. Declare under oath that he or she:
a. Has not committed a crime specified in
Arizona Revised Statutes as a precluding crime for the issuance of a Level One
fingerprint clearance card; and
b.
Is not a registered sex offender.
