Ariz. Admin. Code § R21-8-110 - Electrical Safety
The provider shall ensure:
1. Electrical cords are in good condition; no
broken or frayed cords are in use.
2. Electrical panels and outlets are in good
condition; no wiring is exposed, and covers are in place.
3. Extension cords are not used on a
permanent basis.
4. Electrical
outlets are not overloaded.
5.
Major appliances are plugged directly into grounded outlets. Major appliances
include refrigerators, freezers, dishwashers, stoves, ovens, washers, and
dryers.
6. Mid-sized appliances,
which include computers, televisions, and stereo equipment, are plugged into:
a. Grounded outlets, or
b. Power strips or surge protectors that are
plugged into grounded outlets.
